Launch Online Grant BC: Application and Implementation Support in Vancouver, BC

The Launch Online grant began as an initiative by the BC government to help small and medium-sized brick and mortar businesses get online. This program was created to fund the move to online business models, to support businesses that have lost a significant portion of their revenue as they closed shop for a part of 2020.  The initial may have been created to support brick and mortar businesses, but the criteria for eligibility has expanded. So if you’re a service-based or online business, you can qualify to receive funding to enhance or build an online booking system, which in turn can help more customers find and book your services.  You may be eligible to receive funding of up to 75% of your expenses, with a maximum grant of $7,500 per business.   • Employs up to 149 BC residents 
  • Pays taxes in BC 
  • Generated sales of more than $30,000 in 2020 
  • Maintains a: 
    • Federal business number 
    • GST number 
    • PST and WorkSafeBC number (where applicable) 
And one of the following applies: Either, your business does not have an online store or has an online store that has no more than three of the five following features: 
  • Customer registration and information security features 
  • Shopping cart and order management capabilities 
  • Payment processing options including the application of appropriate taxes and shipping costs at the time of ordering 
  • Product catalogue, search, and inventory status 
  • Website analytics and reporting capabilities 
Or, your business does not have an online booking system or has an online booking system with no more than three of the five following features: 
  • Customer registration and information security features 
  • Schedule navigation and reservation management capabilities 
  • Payment processing options including the application of appropriate taxes at the time of order, if applicable 
  • Automated replies and reminders 
  • Website analytics and reporting capabilities
